Competition
2010 Information
They
say that for every Scottish woman there is different
shortbread to be enjoyed. It is my pleasure to again
sponsor the Shortbread Competition. Please consider
being part of it this year. It is a casual, fun contest
and we all get to taste new samplings of shortbread.
Some
contestants expressed dismay with the Traditional and
Non-Traditional categories. This year we will have just
one competition. Awards will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place medals.
There
is NO entry fee this year but please limit yourself
to no more than 3 entries each. Bring your entry on
a paper plate. Ask at the information desk for the plate
drop off location. Entries need to be in by 1:00 PM.
Competition
will be held on Saturday, May 15 at 3pm on the Dance
Stage.
We
had a small but mighty turnout for the competition last
year. Thank you to all that entered. And “THANK
YOU” to our judges: Jim Benton of Jim Benton Catering,
Mark Monroe of Heather & Thistle and David Sinclair,
who were roped into helping and did a fine job.
